Somewhere between analog and digital, modern and vintage, electronic and organic, Double Agent Media calls home. The duo, consisting of Dragon Fli Empire’s DJ Cosm and musician/digger AJV have been collaborating for a few years, and here is the first of several releases. The two share a love for hip hop, jazz, funk, soul, dub, classic rock, and library records.

The debut album, Space Ships, takes the listener on a cosmic journey of avant garde hip hop, cosmic jazz, and space-age funk, seamlessly blending sample-based hip hop production with live keys, bass and guitar. It blasts off on a boom bap tip and ascends through a musical black hole and beyond. The album features cameos from Self the Bluest Eye, F. Virtue, Ghettosocks, Def 3, Teekay, royceBIRTH, Azrael and Cam the Wiz.
